Aero'Nov Connection 2018: SLM Solutions Is Presenting SLM® Additive Manufacturing Technology at the International Aerospace Exhibition and Conferences

International Exhibition and Conferences for the Aerospace Industry in Marseille

Lübeck, June 21, 2018. SLM Solutions Group AG, a leading provider of metal-based additive manufacturing technology, is participating in the two-day Aero'Nov 2018 Connection in Marseille on June 27 and 28. At the trade fair for the aerospace industry, SLM Solutions will exhibit machines, processes, materials, and services of metal-based additive manufacturing.

Aero'Nov Connection is the most important aerospace event in the PACA region (Provence-Alpes-Côte d 'Azur). The Exhibition and Conferences aim to bring technology providers and suppliers of the aerospace industry together to promote the transfer of technical processes and collaboration between technology and business.

SLM Solutions is going to present additive SLM® manufacturing technology in Southern France. The process provides almost unlimited design freedom, which makes it possible to produce jet engines that have cleaner burning, improved durability and higher efficiency. Another advantage of this technology is the ability to integrate multiple components in one component, as a result of which joining processes can be avoided. Selective laser melting technology gives companies the opportunity to make their production process more efficient and employ higher degrees of freedom in product development.

The objective of participation is to promote and further develop business and technological partnerships. SLM Solutions collaborates closely in research and development with well-known companies, institutes and universities. Stefan Ritt, VP and Head of Global Marketing & Communications at SLM Solutions Group AG, sees the efforts of SLM Solutions confirmed: "We have been a pioneer and technology leader in the field of laser melting machines for many years and invest in the research and development of machinery and materials. Together with our manufacturers and other component suppliers, we want to optimize the machines further as well as to provide new materials that withstand even higher requirements. Marseille is an ideal meeting place for this.”
