Additive Manufacturing in the Automotive Industry: SLM Solutions Presents Additive SLM® Technology at the 4th 3D Printing Conference in Bamberg

Innovations, trends and the future of 3D printing on April 11-12 2018

Lübeck, April 05, 2018. Decision makers from OEMs, suppliers and service providers will meet from April 11-12 2018 in Bamberg for the 4th International 3D Printing Conference – Additive Manufacturing in the Automotive Industry. SLM Solutions Group AG will participate as main sponsor and will give deep insights into the innovations and trends of additive SLM® manufacturing technology.

Entire industries are now focusing on additive technology and pushing its development. The 4th 3D Printing Conference, to be held at the Welcome Hotel Residenzschloss in Bamberg, will see experts from Audi, BMW, Daimler, Divergent Microfactories, HP, MAN, Rheinmetall, Voestalpine, SLM Solutions and many more report on the latest developments and the potential of this technology in the automotive industry.

The two-day conference includes 17 presentations, a factory tour and world cafes, along with many opportunities for delegates to discuss the changes in additive manufacturing, from rapid prototyping to series production. Participants will also be able to discuss the potential flexibility and greater efficiency for plastics and metals, as well as the challenges and opportunities that 3D printing presents. Ralf Frohwerk, Global Head of Business Development at SLM Solutions Group AG, will speak on the first day of the conference with his keynote on the innovations, trends and future of the process chain for metal 3D printing in automotive components production.
