Lübeck, March 29, 2018. SLM Solutions Group AG will focus on its SLM®280 2.0 at MACH 2018. The northern German company is presenting the latest development of metal-based SLM® manufacturing technology at booth 149 in Hall 20 in Birmingham from April 9 to 13.
MACH is the most important trade fair for the manufacturing industry in Great Britain. The exhibition, which takes place every two years, attracts more than 25,000 trade visitors, including many important decision-makers. All participants are looking for the latest developments and the best innovations in the field of manufacturing technologies with the aim of establishing new business relationships and discovering new suppliers and products.
This year, SLM Solutions is presenting its SLM®280 2.0 at MACH 2018. The machine is the ideal "all-purpose system" for both R+D divisions as well as for production processes using SLM® processes. SLM®280 2.0 handles the complete process chain (closed loop) of generative manufacturing: from data generation to the melting process and all the way to powder recovery and recycling. It provides a large construction space of 280 x 280 x 365 mm³ and has patented multi-beam technology. During the build process, up to two powerful 700 W lasers illuminate the build field via a 3D scan optic.
“SLM Solutions is represented for the first time at MACH with a trade fair booth. The focus of our participation is on mechanical engineering and the manufacturing industry. Using many practical examples, we will show how components made of metal powder are melted layer by layer into stable, geometrically complex structures using the selective laser melting process. We also present the integration of SLM® manufacturing technology into lean, competitive production processes,” Stefan Ritt stated, Vice President and Head of Global Marketing and Communications at SLM Solutions Group AG.
At booth 149 in Hall 20, visitors can ask the SLM Solutions Group AG team directly about metal-based additive manufacturing and have detailed discussions with the experts.
