SLM Solutions: Partnership agreed with ROSSWAG and CRONIMET in metal powders area

  • Cooperation aims to develop, produce and distribute special and high-performance alloys for applications in additive manufacturing
  • Joining forces, the three partners especially aim to develop steel alloys for applications and workpieces in the high-temperature environment
  • SLM Solutions will act as exclusive sales and distribution partner for the special and high-performance alloys that are developed

 

Lübeck, 14 November 2017 – SLM Solutions Group AG ("SLM Solutions"), a leading supplier of metal-based additive manufacturing technology, has today agreed a partnership with ROSSWAG GmbH ("Rosswag") and CRONIMET Holding GmbH ("CRONIMET"). The partnership aims to jointly develop special and high-performance alloys for application in additive manufacturing.

 

Uwe Bögershausen, Management Board member of SLM Solutions Group AG, comments: "We're very pleased to announce this partnership with Rosswag and CRONIMET. Both companies are proven specialists in their respective areas. This partnership supports us on our continued path to becoming an integrated solution provider in the field of additive manufacturing." Rosswag will take over the production and optimisation of the jointly developed metal powders. CRONIMET will supply the processed raw materials for atomisation from its CRONIFOND product line. SLM Solutions contributes the requisite know-how from additive manufacturing and will assume responsibility for the exclusive distribution of the metal powders that are developed.
