SLM Solutions Group AG: New Management Board Member Dr. Gereon Heinemann starts work on August 01, 2018

Luebeck, June 18, 2018 – The Supervisory Board of SLM Solutions Group AG („Company“ or „SLM Solutions“) announces that Dr. Gereon Heinemann will join the Management Board of SLM Solutions as Chief Technology Officer with effect from August 01, 2018. Dr. Heinemann will take over responsibility for the departments Supply Chain/Production, Research & Development, Program-Management as well as Innovation-Management/Intellectual Property and will therefore be in charge for the further technological development of SLM Solutions. The contract is signed for a period till July 31, 2021. Within the last years Dr. Heinemann was working in leading positions in the machinery industry, among others as CTO for Fritz Studer AG, a company belonging to the Körber Group, and since March of 2016 as CEO of the Irpd AG, a joint venture between the United Grinding Group (Körber Group) and inspire AG/University ETH Zuerich. Irpd AG is a service provider within the field of additive manufacturing and is doing research in the field of selective laser melting for the Körber Group. “We are happy that we could win a highly experienced successor to the position of Mr. Schöneborn, who will leave the company at the 30th of June and are looking forward to working together with Dr. Heinemann” says Hans-Joachim Ihde, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company.     

 

Henner Schöneborn, CTO till June 30 will be available for the company, beyond June 30, as a consultant. Henner Schöneborn: “Thus, a detailed briefing of my successor is ensured“.
